  • Why employ a 3rd party project management team? Shouldn’t I use internal resources?

    In most cases, S&A provide Project Management teams to clients who are short of resources. Clients invariably don’t have resources available to dedicate to short or especially specialist projects. S&A can provide a full team or members for a team who are short of a few members. All S&A Project Management resources are experienced project experts so not only will they bring valuable experience, they also come equipped with many field-proven project templates and methods. S&A resources are happy to guide or train less experienced resources so they can become more confident for a client’s future project where S&A Project Management resources may no longer be required.

  • How do I maintain control of the S&A Project Management teams decisions?

    S&A provide weekly progress reports on all projects that explain not only progress but also any major decisions made, queries to be resolved and any hot topics of conversation. In addition, the majority of projects have a weekly progress meeting with the client to ensure the contents of the weekly progress report are discussed. Unless specifically agreed with the client, the S&A team will ensure that all financial, contractual and technical decisions are approved by the client before progression. We will negotiate as much on your behalf as you are comfortable with but the final decision will always be yours!

  • How do I know the S&A Project Management team have my best interests at heart?

    S&A actively encourage client involvement throughout the project from kick-off to handover. S&A believe a set of project guidelines should be established at the project inception to ensure everyone involved understands the project drivers from the client’s perspective.

  • How long should I employ S&A Project Management resources for?

    The ideal situation is to have S&A resources on your team, even in a reduced form, at the early stages of a project to aid in the establishment of the project strategy. But, as we all know, ideal situations rarely happen! In reality, S&A provide resources as-and-when required for as long or as short a period as is appropriate for the project.

  • What resources are available?

    S&A have expertise in many areas of Project Management. Resumes of all project team members are provides with all proposals. S&A can supply project managers, project engineers, site managers/ supervisors, project administrators (project cost controllers, document controllers, QHSE, etc.) and even discipline engineers at set rates.
